The latest 2026 hunting and fishing regulations summaries are now available. Printed copies have been sent to private licence issuers and participating ServiceOntario locations across the province, and you can also view them online.
Thunder Bay Student Participating at Queen's Park
Welcome Olivia Kemble from Thunder Bay to Queens Park for her participation in the Model Parliament session. It was a pleasure to see her enthusiasm and excitement as she took part in the weeks proceedings. It is always encouraging to watch young leaders step forward and engage in our democratic process.

Thunder Bay District Health Unit Funding
The province is investing over $1 million to support the Thunder Bay District Health Unit in enhancing health services and supporting community well-being.
Ontario Investing an Additional $1,296,348 to Expand Primary Care Workforce in Thunder Bay
I am pleased to share that our government is investing an additional $1,296,348 to expand primary care seats at Lakehead University. This funding will help train and support new nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants so more people can connect to quality care close to home.
By strengthening local training opportunities, we are building a stronger health care workforce for Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. This means better access to primary care and continued support for families across our region.

Touring 8-storey Timber housing in Toronto
I had the opportunity to highlight Assembly Corp’s 8-storey mass timber housing development in Toronto that is using Ontario-sourced mass timber — with materials from Element5 and fabrication by Fab Structures.
It’s a great example of projects being fostered by our Advanced Wood Construction Action Plan that aims to Protect Ontario by strengthening forestry supply chains, creating good jobs, and building more homes.

Ontario is proving to the world that we can deliver major nuclear energy projects on-time, and on-budget
Months ahead of schedule & $150M under budget for the full project, Stephen Lecce announced the successful completion of the Darlington Unit 4 refurbishment.
A #MadeInCanada win for our economy, adding $90B in economic value, supporting 14,200 good-paying jobs, and providing reliable power for 3.5 million homes.
Investing $21 million to train long-term care staff
Ontario is investing over $21 million to train 700 new long-term care staff!
Our expansion of the Learn and Earn program will upskill current long-term care staff and deliver more direct care to residents across Ontario.
